Favourite album undoubtedly their first, self-titled album.

Favourite song, perhaps the Drowners.

The Asphalt World is one of my favourites.

Definitely Sleeping Pills. The Wild Ones a close second.

Sorry, on second thought, can you please repeat the question? Suede's greatest song, or Suede's greatest song OF ALL TIME? I may need to rethink my answer.

And tinus, if the Wild Ones is a close second, how come you're so sure about Sleeping Pills? I think you too need to go back to the drawing board. Let's get this right, guys.

dear bvz, with respect, The Drowners is a pretty lame and obvious choice as Suede's best of all time. It's one of their most commercial songs and probably the last one I'll pick on their first album. On their first (and best) album Suede hit their creative peak with Sleeping Pills. Fact!

Dear Tinus (what kind of a name is that anyway?)

I can recall when MY favourite Suede song was Sleeping Pills. I was about thirteen and had listened to the album about 3 or 4 times...

Don't worry though, I'm sure even you will learn one day to look past what other people do or do not like, and not be afraid inadvertantly to be part of the majority. The fact that you got their best album right is heartening, there may be hope for you yet.

Sincerely
bvz

Let's see what the ILM forum thinks of this thread.

bvz, I can only assume that you are now older than 13 therefore I'm sorry to hear that you have over the years INADVERTANTLY regressed to the main stream, and you showed so much potential...

Oi, hz, what's YOUR favourite?

The ILM forum didn't really resolve anything. Half those nitwits seem to think "Coming up" is Suede's best album. But if anything, "Wild Ones" is the winner.
