all children should look like they stepped from 'pleasantville'. (although top left and bottom right is taking it a tad too far). possibly for children with a lack of social skills.

yip, that one in the top-left is quite disturbing.

nico has a knack for finding pictures that are not funny (see Spongebob SA). When I was a child a friend of my mother's had a gas stove explode in her face. She wore a mask like that. Thanks nico.

Sorry, liezl. You're right about the spongbob picture. I'll remove it.

Nico, just one question for you, do you spend a whole week trying to find something like this or is it just something you happen to stumble across and can't resist?
Weird but wonderful. Thank you, I might have nightmares over this for the next day or so.

Le, i saved this picture on my PC about two years ago. and it made me smile everytime i looked at it.

I didn't know that people use these masks to cover up facial scars.

That does make it less funny.

so nico, does this mean you're an avid reader of 'your family'?

no, arcadia.

nico, please bring spongebob back. It was not funny, but neither was it distasteful. It was indeed quite thought-provoking and as such it should stay.

The masks, on the other hand, are really funny, objectively speaking, but they just happened to make me think of that lady. My father used to call her 'Die Gemaskerde Wonder' after some silly wrestler that was famous at the time. And that was funny too, because she really was (is) an incredible woman. Sorry about my response. I will make a posting soon and hope to be publicly humiliated by you.

Nico,

For what its worth, I found Spongebob South Africa hilarious.

As for these masks, they look like something a well-meaning gradmother would knit for her grandchildren - who are going through a Mexican wrestling phase - for christmas.

Paul.

That's really creepy. Those masks.

But I suppose if kids wear spiderman and batman masks...
